This piece was part of Changemakers Festival exploring activism and social change through various forms of visual art.
With support from Fusion Swansea and Coastal Housing this piece was a designed and painted by neuro diverse individuals. It sends a positive message about people with autism. Changemakers Festival was part of a wider look at social change with several local organisations involved.
The festival was a collaborative partnership between Swansea Council Cultural Services, Fusion Swansea, Swansea Museum and Elysium Gallery. Firstly giving people from all backgrounds a voice to protest and create works around specific issues. And tagging participants who helped to design the piece.
This was the first of many works that Fresh Creative have put together on these boards. Including the Love Wins and Swansea Arena projects. Not to mention that Coastal Housing as worked with Fresh on many diverse projects.
With all these projects we aim to bring people and communities together. Making the work public helps the participants to take ownership. Showing them they have the ability to change spaces and make them better. With more workshops lined up at schools and local groups we hope to reach wider audiences.
