Flip the Streets – Clase Primary

Posted: 16th August 2024

We are absolutely delighted to have had the opportunity to collaborate with Clase Primary School on a truly meaningful project.

As part of the FlipTheStreets initiative, we organised a special taster session workshop where the pupils took centre stage in designing and painting a large mural at their school. This exciting project allowed the students to actively participate in the creation of artwork that embodies important values.

The mural focused on anti-racism and inclusion. What made it special was that pupils created the designs themselves. Each student shared ideas and creative vision, and artists brought them to life in the final artwork. This collaborative effort gave students valuable hands-on experience in mural painting.

The Welsh word “Cynefin”, meaning ‘habitat,’ ‘haunt,’ ‘acquainted,’ or ‘familiar,’ inspired the mural’s design.
It shows two hands forming a heart, symbolising unity and affection

The workshop was an inspiring experience for everyone involved, as it showcased the students’ artistic talents and their passion for promoting positive change.
