Even as summer days are behind us, this colourful mural adorning the walls of Langland Bay’s Lifeguard Building remains a shining symbol of creativity and collaboration.
Fresh Mural Artist Alisha guided the creation of the mural, working with designs from primary school pupils across Swansea.
Their ideas, bursting with imagination and love for the sea, celebrate the beauty of coastal life while encouraging eco-consciousness. Featuring fun and unique elements like a playful seal, a swaying palm tree, Langland’s iconic beach shed, a majestic wave, and even an octopus savouring an ice cream cone, the mural is as delightful as it is meaningful!
Accompanying these whimsical images are impactful messages urging us to protect the environment. Quotes such as “Don’t be a quitter, pick up your litter” and “There is no planet B” encourage everyone to take small actions for a cleaner, greener world.
This project, in collaboration with The How People and RNLI, showcases the power of art to unite communities and inspire change. Whether you’re enjoying a winter walk along the shore or reminiscing about warmer days, let this mural spark joy and remind us of our shared responsibility to care for our planet.
