For The Roots Foundation’s 13th birthday, we were thrilled to collaborate with young people on a colourful, vibrant mural that now brightens their venue.
Mural technique
The mural bursts with colour and playful animals, reflecting the energy and creativity of the foundation and its young people. From brainstorming to final strokes, the project was fully collaborative, with every design choice echoing The Roots Foundation’s mission.
The event, “Roots Fest,” was the perfect setting for the creation and unveiling the mural, with artist Munch working throughout the day to bring the young people’s designs to life as they watched in awe.
The young people involved in the design process were integral to bringing this artwork to life. Their ideas and perspectives shaped the final piece, resulting in a mural that truly belongs to the community.
This organisation supports young people through times of transition, offering a safe space where they can grow and flourish. For many, this was their first time creating public art that the community could see.
